Book me an emergency plumber.

It is the industry’s own example of what people ask an agent to do. On most trade sites the best an agent finds is a phone number it cannot dial.

01What we measured

5 trade businesses in Sydney, scored the same way.

Scanned on one day with one tool. Every figure below is counted out of that run, and the per-site reports are linked at the foot of this page.

02What an agent hits

What an agent hits on a trade site.

Trades scored best of the three segments we measured, and best still means an agent leaves without a job booked.

  • The form is there. The labels are not.

Three of the five sites had form fields an agent cannot identify. A field with no label is a field a machine will not fill.

  • One site had no submit button inside the form at all.

Submission happened in JavaScript, which is a dead end for anything that is not a browser.

  • Nothing publishes what it can do.

All five publish no WebMCP, no MCP endpoint and no machine-readable catalogue. An agent has to guess, and guessing fails.

  • 1 of 5 could actually be booked.

The one that could came from a booking widget the business had bought for its own reasons, not from anything it did for agents.

03What changes

What it looks like once the actions are callable.

The jobs are already on the site. They are just not in a form an agent can use.

  • The actions already exist.

A real browser found a complete action map on three of these five sites. What is missing is not the booking, it is a way to reach it.

  • Your jobs, hours and service area become callable.

On the site you already have, without rebuilding it and without changing how you take work.

  • You approve every action first.

Nothing an agent can run exists until you have verified that action type and set its limits.

  • Nothing until a job is booked.

Scanning and traffic reporting are free. Beyond that you pay per completed action, priced under what a trade lead already costs you.

04The evidence

Read the reports these numbers came from.

Where this stands

No trade business is running Frontlatch. The scanner and the tracker are built and free; the hosted layer that makes an action callable is being built and is not something you can use this week.

The same scan that produced every number on this page. Free, and free permanently.

Scanning is not self-serve yet. Your mail client opens and a person reads it.
